Silver Mario amiibo Sold Before Announcement

A Silver Mario amiibo was sold on a Chinese website in blank packaging, and it was real. Something like this happened before when a Ness Amiibo was sold over 1 month before it came out in Europe. When used with Mario Party 10, it starts with a special silver token, which makes the Silver Mario amiibo silver when used in amiibo party. Otherwise, it is exactly the same as a normal Mario amiibo.

It is now available for auction on eBay. At the time of writing, it is over $1000.

Super Mario Series Mario Amiibo Will Be Available Without Mario Party 10 in North America

Currently in North America, the Super Mario series Mario Amiibo is only available bundled with Mario Party 10. But it will be released without Mario Party 10 on April 4. Preorders will not be available, but probably will not be hard to find.

Luigi looks very, very good. The textures aren't as nice as the Super Smash Bros. version, to be more like his appearance in the Mario games. I think he looks much better than the Super Smash Bros. version though. Here are the pictures:

If you use the Rosalina, Donkey Kong, or Wario (Wario will be released on May 29th 2015), you can use them for Amiibo Party. Nintendo might not make Super Mario versions of them, but there is a high chance.
